(ขะ-หนาน) ขนานนาม- to give a name to, to name;

เดินขนานกัน- to march in parallel lines; ผูกเรือขนานกัน- to lash boats side by side; ยาหลายขนาน- many different varieties or several portions of medicines.

แพทย์ให้ยาผมสามขนาน The doctor gave me three kinds of drugs.

ถนนสองสายนี้ขนานกันไป These two roads are parallel. เขาถูกขนานนามว่าเป็นเจ้าแห่งคนขอทาน He was designated King of Beggars. เส้นขนานสองเส้น แม้จะยาวสักเท่าใดก็ไม่มีทางจะพบกัน Two parallel lines, however long, will never meet.
